About The Foundation

From Making History
To Building Champions

In Paris in 2003, Anju Bobby George became the first Indian athlete to win a medal at the World Athletics Championships. A two-time Olympian, she set an Indian women's long jump national record that stood for 22 years. She competed at the highest level of world athletics with a single kidney.

Today that work continues at the Anju Bobby High Performance Centre in Kengeri, Bengaluru. With Robert Bobby George, a former national triple jump champion who at 34 became the youngest ever recipient of the Dronacharya Award, the Foundation trains young women athletes for international competition through specialised coaching, competition exposure and long-term development.

Training at the centre goes well beyond the track. Athletes get coaching, sports science, strength and conditioning, nutrition, medical and rehabilitation support, accommodation, education and mentorship under one roof.

The aim is to show a new generation that sport can be a real path to achievement, independence and leadership.
